Cheddar Herb Biscuit Mix
ROOT 937 Farmhouse Cheddar Biscuit Mix
Bring a little farmhouse comfort to the table with our Cheddar Biscuit Mix. These big, tender biscuits bake up golden and buttery with plenty of fresh cheddar tucked into every bite.
We've done the measuring and mixing for you - you simply add cold butter, milk or buttermilk, and freshly shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Finish the warm biscuits with melted garlic butter and sprinkle of parsley for an extra-delicious savory biscuit that tastes completely homemade.
Perfect alongside soups, chili, pot roast, chicken, Sunday dinner around the table, or simply warm from the oven with a little butter.
Each mag makes approximately 10-12 large biscuits.
YOU WILL NEED:
- 6 TBSP cold butter
- 3/4 - 1 cup cold milk or buttermilk
- 1 1/2 cups freshly shredded sharp cheddar cheese
TO MAKE:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Pour mix into a bowl and cut or shred cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the shredded cheddar. Gently mix in the milk or buttermilk, adding a little more if needed, just until the dry mix is absorbed. Scoop onto a baking sheet and bake for approximately 13-16 minutes, or until golden brown.
Our favorite finishing touch: Brush the hot biscuits with melted butter mixed with a pinch of garlic powder and sprinkle with parsley.
Small-batch made at ROOT 937, New Paris, Ohio.
